Dana Update 1/29/12
Since the last Chip-in page I had set up Dana has completed chemo, had a double masectomy and learned that the pathology following surgery indicates all the cancer was removed! What wonderful news!!! 2 weeks ago Dana began 6 weeks of radiation treatments. These treatments are 5 days a week and require her to find daily care for her 2 year old daughter Katie. Then she has to drive to Exton and back to Elverson, plus get Katie to and from wherever she is that day. As you can guess her weekly gas bill has at least doubled. She could use help covering the cost of gas!! Dana also told me that she has received several medical bills totalling thousands of dollars and more will be coming in soon! I KNOW Dana has been humbled by the outpouring of support and is beyond thankful to everyone!! Should you feel compelled to financially help Dana out you can make a donation through Pay-Pal or mail a check to my home address: Dina Porter 101 S. 3rd Ave Morgantown, PA 19543
Dana's Journey
As many of you know Dana has been emmerced in a whirlwind right now. In 2 weeks she went from thinking she did not have breast cancer to beginning chemo this past Friday 4/22/11 Dana has a fast growing, quite aggressive tumor in her right breast and also has cancer showing in several lymphnodes under her right arm. Friday she began 12 weeks of chemo. Following chemo she will have a mastectomy and then radiation. This will be an emotional journey for Dana, Russ and their 5 kids. Please be in prayer for all of them. Situations like this take quite a finaicial toll on families that are finacially comfortable. As many of you know Russ has been unemployed for many months and is currrently employed, but will not get paid if he misses work to care for Dana or take her to treatments. Can you all just take a few minutes and make a donation, no matter how small to help off-set some of the expenses the Goebel family will endure. The first one I can think of is the cost of gas traveling to the Dr.'s in West Chester. Please consider helping out this amazing family!!
